Monday 23rd March

Date: 22nd Mar 2020 @ 5:57pm

Hi Everyone,

Here are the details of your first activity linked to the 'Creative Homework.'

Today I want you to talk to your grown up about the question 'What comes out of an egg?' Look at the stories that we have used in class and discuss which one you liked and why. Then I would like you to decided on which story you will be using to create something. When you are watching the videos of the stories talk about the characters, what was happening and which animals came out of an egg.

Floating and Sinking

Date: 23rd Jan 2020 @ 2:45pm

In Reception we have been learning about materials that float and sink. This week, children made their own boat models using plasticine and used skills such as rolling and moulding to create a boat shape. We then tested them in water to see whether they floated or sank!

We are learning new words...

Date: 23rd Jan 2020 @ 2:39pm

We have started to learn new words during our English lessons each week. We are using 'Word Rap' to help us learn new words and then putting the word on our brand new Word Wall. Each week we are learning new words that we may hear in our focus story or during our language sessions in the afternoons. The children are determined to put over 100 words on our word wall by the end of the year...! Can we do it...? Yes, we will try...!!!

On Friday 31st January come along to our stay and play sessions. We will be doing a session in the morning at 9.00am until 10.00am and repeat it again in the afternoon at 2.15pm until 3.00pm. The session will be based around how we learn new words. We will start the session with our word rap and then split into our groups to complete some word/phonic based activities. At the end of the session you will be given a parent leaflet with some ideas that you can try at home.
