Privacy Notice for Parents and Carers
At Ravensbury Community School, we need to keep some personal information about your child to help us support their learning, wellbeing, and safety.
The Headteacher is responsible for keeping this information accurate and secure. Please let us know if any of your child’s details change, so we can keep records up to date.
Who can see your child’s information?
School staff can access your child’s records to do their jobs.
Sometimes, we may share information with other people involved in your child’s care—but only when necessary and with appropriate safeguards.
Everyone who has access to your child’s records is trained to keep information confidential and secure.
We will never share your child’s details over the phone, fax, or email unless we are sure we are speaking to you. We also won’t share information with friends or family without your permission.

Payment details
Some information is mandatory, while some is optional. We will always tell you which information you must provide and which is your choice.
How we store information
We keep records securely, both on computers and in paper files. We retain information for a set period—up to 6 years after your child leaves primary school.
Sharing information
We do not share information without your consent unless the law requires it or it is necessary for your child’s safety or wellbeing.
