This term year four are learning about earthquakes and their effect on people. To launch the topic children were 'transported' to an earthquake zone where they 'woke' to find a broken plate on the floor.  The children generated some fantastic questions about what they would do in the situation.  'Find cover under a table' 'Get outside' 'shout for help'

Mayan Masks

Date: 12th Nov 2018 @ 2:55pm

In October we had the opportunity to make our Mayan Masks with our school art teacher. We worked really hard to ensure that they had the correct detail. We used oil pastels to colour them. We were really pleased with the end reuslt. The mask being held up below would have been like a mask used in a Mayan festival.

Water topic launch

Date: 15th Mar 2018 @ 3:58pm

Today year four had a visit from Dave, a volunteer from Water Aid. He told us all about the work the charity does in counties that don’t have access to clean water or sanitation. Its was really interesting. We decided as a year group that we would like to raise money this term to give to the charity Water Aid. We have been challenged to think of interesting ways to do this. What could you think of?

Thank you to the three lovely parent helpers, you were great!
