Deadline for EU nationals to register their children for EU Settled Status is on Wednesday

There are only 2 more days to go to apply for the EU Settled Status

Any parents who are EU nationals, or from Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, who came to live in the UK before 31 December 2020,  must apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to protect their right to live and work in the UK.

If their children were born in the UK, they may not be aware that they need to apply for EU Settled Status on their child’s behalf as well.

They have to apply online before the deadline on 30 June 2021. If they have not applied for settled status by 30 June 2021 they will no longer have a legal immigration status in the UK.

Paper application forms are available from the EUSS Resolution Centre for those who are unable to apply using the online form and cannot be supported to do so.

If they miss the deadline but can demonstrate a reasonable ground for doing so they may still be able to make a successful application but will face losing the right to reside in the UK while their application goes through.
