A few reminders from Mrs Hughes

Just a couple of friendly reminders!

Sickness Policy
If your child has been sick they must stay at home for 24 hours following the last episode of vomiting.

If your child has diarrhoea they must stay at home for 48 hours following the last episode of diarrhoea.

Please keep the office updated on each day of the absence by ringing 0161 223 0370

Picking children up from school

Children must be picked up from school at the correct time at the end of the school day, if they are not it can be distressing and upsetting for them.

School finishing times are:
Foundation Stage at 3.20pm
Key stage 1 at 3.20pm
Key stage 2 at 3.30pm

If you think you might be late please ring the school on 0161 223 0370 so that staff can let your child know.

Show you care… Please park elsewhere!

I would like to remind all parents that when dropping off and picking up your child/children:

· Vehicles MUST always be parked legally so as not to cause an obstruction.

· Please do not park on the yellow zig zag markings at the front of the school.

· Do NOT park too close to a road junction.

· Please do not pull alongside parked cars to allow your children to ‘jump in’ or ‘jump out’.

Remember: The children’s safety is a greater priority than convenient parking which puts children’s lives at risk. Unsafe parking is unacceptable.

Dogs mess

Parents have also expressed health and safety concerns about dog fouling on the pavements around school. The local council is responsible for keeping public areas like parks, playgrounds and pavements clear of dog mess. So if you see any dog owner not cleaning up their dog mess please report it https://www.gov.uk/report-dog-fouling
