Good Morning Year 3!
How are you all doing? I hope you've had a good weekend. It's a shame the sunny weather seems to have ended for now, I love being outside when I can.
Thank you to everyone once again for sending me so many emails over the past week. Miss Faragher and Miss Humphreys were very impressed!
On Padlet this week we are going to be extending our seaside vocabulary, looking again at mass and weight, answering inference and referal questions and spelling more homophones! I'm looking forward to reading your poems at the end of the week!

Good Morning Year 3!
It's fantastic Friday! Hope everyone is ok and ready for the weekend. I watched a very exciting football match last night - it finally meant that after 30 years, Liverpool won the league! Which is a very long time I know! I am going to have a big google chat celebration tonight with family and friends in Liverpool, London and Portugal!
Thank you again for all of your emails. It's been lovely to see your work and all of your creative projects. I will be showing off some wonderful learning later today in a celebration blog!

Hello Ravensbury wildlife lovers,
The end of another week and it’s going to be a little cooler today. It was so hot yesterday again! I think the ducks will be happy with the rain later.
Today’s challenge is to use your ears as the sun sets tonight. Listen for the wildlife concert that is played in your back garden every evening. You could record it and email the concert to me.
Have a wonderful, sunny and safe Thursday.

Good Morning Everyone!
Another lovely sunny day! I can't believe how warm it is so early in the morning; in my garden at 7am it was 24 degrees. It's actually warmer in Manchester than it is in Portugal where my Mum lives!
I'm loving receiving your emails Y3 - yesterday I had some beautiful art work from Theodosia which I will share with everyone at the end of the week. I also recieved maths and writing from Fatima, Nabel, Yuqing, Yinxin and Shawnakaye!

Hello everybody,
It’s Thursday already! It was so hot yesterday and it looks like it’s going to be another scorcher today so make sure you wear a hat and put your sun cream on when you’re out in the wild today.
Today’s challenge is to make an accessory out of flowers. I used to love to make daisy chains when I was a little girl. Can you make something to add to your outfit or to give to someone you love?
Have a wonderful, sunny and safe Thursday.

Welcome to another wild Wednesday challenge.
Today’s challenge is to use nature to create a piece of art. Please only use leaves and twigs and flowers that have naturally fallen to the floor. If it has fallen onto the floor it’s nature’s gift to you. You could press leaves or a flower in a book or create a picture.
Have a wonderful, sunny and safe Wednesday.

Hello Year 3!
Ooooh it looks like it's going to a very hot day! I've got my work desk set up in the back garden already! If you are outside today, make sure you have your head protected and stay in the shade. We don't want anyone getting burnt!
It was lovely to see your work again yesterday! Thanks to all those children who emailed me, it's really nice to get to know Y3 a bit better!

Good Morning Year 3!
Before we get started on your home learning for this week, I would just like to say hello! It's Miss Wendt here!
Some of you will know me from teaching in Year 5. From today I am going to be helping with your home learning, as both Miss Faragher and Miss Humphreys are working back in school where they have a bubble of children that they are teaching. They will be checking in every day to see who is working hard and checking our y3 email too.
I'm really excited to be working with y3, it's one of my favourite years to teach!

Hello Wildlife Wardens of Ravensbury!
We’ve reached the end of another week getting out in the wild. We have such a lot of beauty in our world. Remember that when you see something in the wild.
Today’s challenge is to draw a wildflower. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law have lived in lots of amazing places around the world. Some of the photos at the bottom are from places as far away as Saudi Arabia and some are from my local woods. Can you find a wildflower and draw it?

Yesterday I discovered that a squirrel’s front teeth never stop growing. Squirrels must gnaw to keep their teeth at the right length. What did you find out?
I also hear this beautiful birdsong every night at tea time. Does anyone know what bird is singing?

Happy Tuesday Ravensbury!
I hope you are well and you managed to get out yesterday before the thunderstorms. It’s a bit cooler today but hopefully we’ll have some sunshine later.
You can see my butterfly buffet challenge at the bottom. The butterflies didn’t come but there were a couple of visitors and this morning half of the peach I put out had gone! I wonder who enjoyed it. What do you think?
Today your challenge is to go outside, find some wildlife and then google facts about them. What’s the most interesting fact you can find? Write down your answers and send a photo or send a short video in telling us what you’ve discovered about our wild friends outside.
Have a terrific Tuesday
