Today we are just going to practice words with ee phonemes (sounds) in them – so with an

eeeaie,   e-e,        y,    ey

Challenge one – Sound hunt. Get a piece of paper and go on a hunt around your house. What can find that has an ee phoneme (sound) in its name? I have found some beans and a toy monkey.  Draw and label what you find.

Challenge two – Make a game. Using the words and the pictures that you have collected make an ee sound board game. It could be like snakes and ladders, it could be a take on twister or it could be an ee sound musical statues game. Don’t forget to write the instruction down so that you can explain how to play it.

Here’s an example of some games that you could make…

Challenge three – Play your game! Remember you’ll have to teach your family how to play it!

Good Luck! Don’t forget to send any home learning that you are proud of to y1homelearning@ravensbury.manchester.sch.uk
