Wednesday sentence of the day and phonics

Date: 22nd Apr 2020 @ 9:32am

Good Morning everyone! I had a lovely day working in the sun yesterday although I do wish I was enjoying it with you in school instead!

Sentence of the day

Here are the answers to yesterday’s sentence. Well done to all of you who managed to get them all!

Remember we only need question marks for questions and when it’s not a question we need a full stop. Questions start with who, what, when, where and how.

Today’s sentence focusses on adjectives. Watch the video to find out what todays sentence will be. (It's the top video at the bottom of the page)

Phonics

Who can guess today’s phoneme that we are practicing? Watch the video to see if you can find out!

Look at the second video at the bottom of the page

Today’s sound is the split diagraph u-e!

How many different words can you read with the u-e grapheme in?

Watch the last video at the bottom of the page

Now it’s your time to write, if you can think of some more words- alien or real then write them down!

Can you write them on paper or with chalks and make your own hopscotch. Throw a stone and hopscotch your way to the word and read it. Make the game harder by picking up the words once you land on them. How long will it take you to pick up all of the words?
