VE Day!

Year 5 had a fabulous day celebrating VE Day. It was wonderful to see how interested they were and they asked great questions. They really enjoyed writing a diary entry from the perspective of someone who has enjoyed the celebrations in 1945 and their feelings knowing the war was finally over and we had snacks in the afternoon with VE Day crafts.

The children have also been very inquisitive while learning all about the Mars rover Curiosity in our reading and writing lessons this week and were amazed by watching the real life footage from the surface of Mars!
