Good Morning Reception!
Today I want you to go on a reading hunt. I have saved some of the pages from our story ‘Mad about Minibeasts.’ You can find them attached to this blog. Can you go on a sound hunt? Your grown up will ask you to find a sound and then you must point to it on the page. Use the Phase 2 and 3 sound mats to help you.
Next can you go on a tricky word hunt. Your grown up will ask you to find a tricky word from Phase 2 or 3 and you must find it on that page from the book. Grown ups make sure the tricky word that you say is on the page!! Have the Phase 2 and 3 tricky word mats from your pack in front of you to remind you.

Extra challenge – I have attached some stories with the Phase 3 sounds that we have concentrated on this week. Remember the sounds were j, v, w, x, z, and zz. Can you pick a story and see if you can read it confidently? How many stories will you be able to read…?
