Hi Nursery! Are you ready for some more exciting activities and challenges this week? Fantastic! Try to complete one of each of these this week.

Connected Curriculum Weekly Challenge

This week we are looking at a story called ‘The Crunching Munching Caterpillar’. You can watch the video of the story, draw pictures of caterpillars and butterflies, sing and dance to caterpillar and butterfly music or be creative! You choose how you want to learn about minibeasts by picking one or more of the challenges.

Vocabulary Challenge

We are going to make and use a butterfly spin wheel to talk about and describe what we can see.

Reading Weekly Challenge

This week, we are going to look at a non-fiction book called ‘Butterfly’. We look at the pictures and find out some interesting information and facts about butterflies. We will then create a little booklet to draw and label the changes that happen to the caterpillar.

Home Learning Weekly Challenge

PLEASE send any photos or videos of the challenges you complete at home to me by Friday and I’ll put them all up on the blog for you to share with your friends. Phonics Daily Challenges

This week in phonics we are going to be practising our oral blending skills. Each day there will be a new game for you to join in and play with your grown up!

Maths Daily Challenges

For our Maths learning this week we will be practising our counting skills by counting out objects saying a number name for each item. Each day there will be a new game or activity for you practise these skills.

We have lots of fun learning to do this week at home. I am very excited, I hope you are too!
