Maths Daily Challenge – Thursday 25th June

Good Morning Nursery!

I hope it is going to be another beautiful day today.

For today’s maths activity we are going to create a butterfly picture by using colours and counting spots.

Follow the instructions below to create your butterfly picture:

1. You will need to choose three colours of paint and make a pattern with four spots of each colour.

E.g. With the blue paint, count four spots as you use your paintbrush or finger ‘1,2,3,4’. Then choose another colour and repeat counting four spots as you dab with your paint brush. Repeat for another colour.

2. Then fold your paper in half and rub gently on the top.

3. Open up your paper and take a look at your beautiful butterfly picture!

Remember to count each time you make a spot with your coloured paint. You need 4 spots each time!
