Maths Daily Challenge – Monday 29th June

Date: 28th Jun 2020 @ 7:49pm

Hi Nursery, I hope you have had a lovely weekend and are ready for some exciting learning this week!

This week for our Maths learning we are going to be counting out objects from a larger group and select numerals to represent amounts of objects. Each day there will be a new game or activity for you practise these skills.

Let’s start our learning today by singing the number song ‘Five little spiders’. Click on the link below and join in with the song.

For today’s challenge we are going to create spiders!

To do this ask a grown up to help you cut out circles of paper/card and write a numeral in the middle of each one.

Then you will need to collect plenty of pegs.

Challenge: Say the number that is written on the spider and count out that amount of pegs. Clip them on to create the spiders legs.

Remember to look carefully and say the numeral and count out the pegs one at a time from the larger group.

Enjoy creating lots of numbered spiders! nurseryhomelearning@ravensbury.manchester.sch.uk
