Maths Daily Challenge – Friday 3^rd July

Today we are going to sing the counting rhyme the ants go marching one by one. So get up on your feet and get ready to march and join in with the song!

For today’s game you will need:

• A basket of objects (bricks, toys, buttons etc)
• A tray / table top
• Number cards

To play this game you will need to place your number cards on the table so you can see the numbers.

Close your eyes whilst your grown up places between 1 to 10 objects on a tray/table.

Open your eyes, count how many objects there are on the tray/table by pointing to and saying a number name for each item.

Then find the correct number card to show how many objects there are.

Fantastic!

Place the objects back into the basket and play again!
