Hocus pocus

This week the children found a strange note in the classroom. It looked very old and on closer inspection they realised it was a map!

The children used their maths skills and knowledge of more and less to follow the map. Once they had reached the "x marks the spot" they found a box full of bottles, containers and strange liquid. It was a potions kit! 

The children spent the next couple of days becoming witches and wizards and making weird and wonderful potions and spells. They even helped Winnie the witch to make a potion that made her house bright and colourful so that she could find her black cat Wilbur!
