Getting the measure of things!

Date: 15th Mar 2018 @ 9:56am

In maths, we have being learning about measure and how to read different scales in order to measure the length and weight of different objects.

In English, we have been reading about a boy called Thomas Tull who starts to shrink. We created a character who might come and help him grow again.

We used adjectives and 2a sentences to describe the character’s appearance: The witch had long, silver hair.  The colour of her hat was sky blue. Her eyes were red like burning lava.

We used 3 part sentences to describe their behaviour: The wizard pounded on the door, flung it open and barged into the room.

We also thought about what our characters might say: The wizard shouted, “Silence! I am Wizard White-beard of the South and I have heard of your problem.”

We care, We soar’
