This week you have been practicing phase 5 sounds. Use your sound mat to check that all of the words in this sentence are spelt correctly.
On Thersdae I had a barbeque but the rayn caim down and drowned the all of the berger buns!

Let’s start today’s phonics by having a recap of the ‘igh’ sound family from yesterday. Read the words below and sort them into real words and nonsense words.

Today we are going to practice words with oa phonemes (sounds) in them.

Challenge two – Word search. Read the words below. Can you find all of the words with the oa sound in?

Challenge three – Write down the words below on scrap paper and put them on the floor. Put on your favourite song and play a game of stop and read. When the music stops read one of the oa words, keep going until all of the words are gone.
