Flourishing in our learning!

Date: 4th Jun 2025 @ 11:41am

We have had a soaring start back in 2AH!

This week we have come back with a lot of energy and thriving to learn more! We have started our fractions unit in Maths where we began by recalling our learning of what 1/2 is and then starting to move on to 1/3. The children worked really well in pairs and independently to find 1/2 of objects, shapes and quantities. The children had fun halving food and using whiteboards to practice their skills.

We also finished our narrative writing piece all about Ratty's big adventure! The children had to innovate their own rainforest animal that Ratty meets on his adventure. The pupils have really enjoyed this topic, coming up with amazing adjectives to describe the rainforest creatures and nature. We were also really inspired by a discussion we had with Stuart the gardener who told us all about when he once lived in Sumatra and visited the rainforest. He spoke to the children about how the rainforest was and shown us some amazing pictures.

We care, We soar’
