Diwali Day

Date: 16th Nov 2023 @ 3:02pm

Today we have taken part in Diwali Day, learning all about how Hindu people, and some Sikh people, celebrate Diwali.

We read books, watched videos, learned how to dance, wore traditional clothes and tried to create Rangoli patterns with sand. It was very tricky to sprinkle just a little bit of sand.

As we celebrated, the children talked about their learning "demon king"

                                                                                             "They have lot's of food"

                                                                                              "Candles light up"

"They go to the temple and fireworks come"

                                                                                                "Lights!"

                                                                                                 "People pray"

If you want to celebrate Diwali at home why don't you join in dancing with us. We think you'll agree that we have some amazing moves!
