Wateraid Assembly

Last week Mrs Thewlis led a house assembly all about Wateraid. In each of their houses the children had a go at building a ‘pupil pipeline’. The children had to get a ball of ice from one end of the hall to the other by creating a line of pipes to get it across. This helped us to understand how 663 million people in the world don’t have access to clean water and how in many countries around the world, taps, wells and pipes simply don’t exist. Even where they do, they are often not affordable for the poorest people or are not designed to last.

The winners were Earth who were the only ones who managed to get it all the way across! Well done Earth.
