Letter from Mrs Hughes

Dear Parent/Carers,

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break and are ready for the Summer term!  Can you believe that the children have been out of school for a month now! It seems such a long time since we were all together. But as we begin a summer term unlike any other, we’ve all had to adapt to new ways of working; teaching remotely is definitely a first. I would just to take this opportunity to say thank you and what an amazing job you’re doing supporting your child’s wellbeing and learning.

It’s a really scary time at the moment and the future remains uncertain but it’s ok to feel anxious and worried, it won’t always be like this. But until we are back to normal we will be here to support all of you and together we will get through this difficult time.

We miss the children very much but for now we must continue to follow government advice on school closures. There is lots of useful information on the school website to support you and to keep you updated. Don’t forget to keep checking in on the class blog pages on the school website where you will find lots of activities to keep you child busy. Teachers are uploading learning for your child to do on a daily basis. There are also guidelines to support you in helping  your child learn at home. Remember, if you have any concerns about helping your child learn or you need any other support from the school, please let us know.

Just because we’re not all together in the same building, doesn’t mean that we can’t share all the amazing things everybody is doing. We love looking at the things you and your child have been doing at home so keep sending us your pictures via Twitter and email.

The teachers would love to hear from every child in their class, if we haven’t heard from you then we will be giving you a call over the next couple of weeks to see how you’re getting on

We don’t know yet when we’ll be able to open the school fully, but rest assured you will be the first to know and we’ll continue doing our very best to support your child’s learning and to keep you all connected.

Please take care and stay safe.

Best wishes

Mrs Hughes
