Good Morning Reception!!

Today I would like you to think about where the whale took the snail on his back. In the story the whale took the snail to lots of different places around the world including…

The Antarctica where they saw penguins.

A desert island with lots of palm trees and a volcano.

In the deep ocean.

A place with lots of mountains and bears gazing at them.

I want you to imagine if you were the snail where would you like the whale to take you. It could be…

A place like a desert, cold area or with lots of mountains.

It could be a country, maybe one that you have already visited.

It could be a made-up place.

Use the sheet attached to finish this sentence:

If I were a snail, I would want the whale to take me to…

If you are in Mrs Iqbal and Mrs Cooper's phonic groups use the connective 'because' to give a reason why you would visit that place.

For example,

I would like the whale to take me to New York in America because I want to see the Statue of Liberty.
