Three Little Pigs CC Launch!

We have had a fantastic week back! This week we have launched our new CC topic 'Could the three little pigs use better materials to build their house?' First we found clues in the construction area and predicted what the class topic would be about! We found bricks, sticks, straw, a silver pot, three pigs and a wolf! Of course we knew it was the traditional story of the three little pigs! Afterwards we read a version of the story and sequenced the events of the story using pictures and post its. In the provision, we created stick puppets to retell the story and built houses of our own in the constrcution area. On Friday, we invited parents into school and designed some huge houses using large cardboard boxes and everyday materials. It was very exciting because we had to work in a group and be creative! We made some amazing houses and Mrs Wolfendon could not chose the best house therefore she chose everyone's and we all got a prize!
