The United Kingdom

We have been learning about the United Kingdom this week and how it is made up of 4 countries. We explored globes, atlases and maps to find out where the 4 countries are in the United Kingdom. We found out that the 4 countries are England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and we found out what their flags looked like. We even found out about the countries' symbols and national flowers too! We used our new found knowledge to design flags for the countries using the flag colours, flowers and symbols.
