Super science

Date: 18th Nov 2022 @ 11:28am

For this week's science, we have been creating food chains. We looked at producers, consumers, prey and predators. We learnt that most food chains begin with a plant, which takes it energy from the Sun in a process called photosynthesis. We also learnt the animal which is at the end of the food chain (and is not eaten by anything else) is the predator. We learnt that prey can sometimes be a primary consumer, but a predator is the secondary consumer. This links with what we will be learning next week, which is all about food webs.

This has all been a part of our science unit on animals including humans and focussing on the digestive system.

Take a look at a some of the food chains that we made below...4LJ science.PNG
