Sandwiches for a good cause!

Date: 5th Apr 2023 @ 10:59am

This term we spent some time designing and making healthy sandwiches! We explored different food groups and thought about what would make a healthy sandwich. After much debate we settled on: protein, vegetables and a healthy spread. The lack of jam and nutella was disappointing for some, but once we got started making our designs everyone seemed to be happy!

Once our sandwiches were made, we put them into boxes and made our own labels. We then began accepting some very kind donations for Manchester Food Bank. We raised £10!! Thank you so much to those of you who donated.

I hope the children enjoyed this project and their end products! I am hoping the new skills they have picked up can be put to good use at home and they can have a go at making you some healthy lunches.
