Maths Daily Challenge – Thursday 2^nd July

For today’s maths activity you will need your number cards and a basket of ten objects or you can draw some pictures of spiders on paper and put all the pictures in a pot.

Watch today’s video of counting objects then have a go at playing this game at home.

1. Turn over the number cards so they are faced down.
2. Reveal and say the number.
3. Count out objects from your basket or count out spiders from your pot to match the amount shown on the number card.
4. Say how many objects you have and point and say the number on the card. Do you have the correct amount to match the number?
5. Place your objects back into the basket/pot, then reveal another number and repeat the activity.
