Last week

Date: 22nd Mar 2020 @ 4:24pm

Hi every,

I hope you are all looking after each other and keeping yourselves safe.

Last week was a very strange and emotional time for all of us. I can honestly say that I don't think I have ever had a more difficult week in all the years I have been teaching. Friday wasn't like any ordinary Friday because we are not sure when we will see each other again, fingers crossed it won't be too long before we are all back in school together. The most important thing at the moment is that we keep ourseleves safe and if the grownups tell us that this is what we need to do, then we need to follow their advice. It hasn't been an easy decision to make.

Many of you were worried and had lots of questions which we didn't know the answers to, we might never will. But it's ok to feel lworried and anxious but you won't always feel like this.I know that you all wanted to stay in school, we wanted you to stay in school too but not to worry you have lots of lovely home learning to complete. Remember to tweet us and send pictures and messages to your yeargroup email. We can't wait to see how you're getting on! Your teachers will post messages and activities on the class blog so keep checking in.

A special message for children in the Nursery. I have put the rainbow you made me in my window at home and everyone who has seen has given me a big smile. Here it is!

Thank you for all the kind words and messages of support we have received from parents last week. They were very much appreciated in what was a difficult week.

We will send updates on twitter, via the school website, by text message and email.

Take care and look after yourself.

Best wishes,

Mrs Hughes
