Jasper's Beanstalk

Date: 28th Apr 2020 @ 9:57am

In the story ‘Jasper’s beanstalk’ Jasper planted a bean and waited for the bean to grow.

Hopefully the weather will stay fine this week, so when you go outside have a look around and see if you can spot things that grow.

What plants, trees or flowers can you see outside or in your garden? You can use the 'plant and flower hunt' sheet attached to see which ones you can spot.

Talk and describe to your adult what you can see.

How long do you think it has taken for the plant, tree or flowers to grow?

How do you think it has changed?

You could draw a picture or take photographs of the plants / trees you find.

It would be great if you could plant your own bean /bulbs / plants / flowers or vegetables at home and watch them grow. You would then be able to see how it has changed over time.

I am going to plant sunflower seeds in my garden and watch to see how tall the sunflowers will grow!

You could even try planting pepper seeds or apple pips and watch to see if they grow too!

Have a look at the picture below for some creative planting ideas.
