Eggcellent Eggsperiment!

Date: 15th Oct 2021 @ 11:29am

In science, Year 4 have been learning about teeth.
We have learnt about the different type of teeth, what their functions are and have looked at what teeth are made of.

We carried out an experiment to see the effect that different types of drinks have on our teeth. We couldn't use real teeth so we used egg shells instead as they have a similar reaction.
First, we had to plan out our experiment and make a prediction.  Most of us thought that coke or lucozade would have the worst effect on the egg shells.
Then we carried out our experiement - the children were amazing at measuring out the right amounts of liquid using a measuring jug.
We have been checking on the eggs each day and recording our observations.

Check back in to see which drink ended up changing the egg shells the most and what conclusions we drew from this.
