CC Launch - Making Structures!

Date: 12th Nov 2020 @ 11:59am

We launched our new Connected Curriculum topic today, "Why does the world need great inventions?"

We had an exciting (and competitive!) time creating structures which would hold the weight of a toy car. We could only use 2 pieces of A4 paper and some Sellotape. We had 15 minutes to create our structure - if it held the weight of a toy car for 10 seconds without falling, we won 5 house points each. The pair with the tallest structure were awarded an extra 10 housepoints each!

We worked collaboratively and had some fantastic conversations about what makes a strong structure...which will lead us perfectly into looking at incredible bridge inventions which have had a huge impact on transport and the economy as part of our D&T learning later this half term!

We care, We soar’
