Our Behaviour
We work hard with our children to support our children with their behaviours. We feel that we do have a positive and happy school where children do show respect for their peers and staff. As a school we have created a positive relationships policy which continually be developed to reflect our children.
We have 3 basic rules, which we follow:
Be Responsible
Being Ready
Coming to school on time, with the right uniform.
Listening carefully and being prepared to try their best.
Taking Ownership
Trying hard with tasks, even when they are tricky.
Asking for help if they don’t understand something.
Making Good Choices
Respecting class rules and helping to create a calm learning environment.
Using resources sensibly and looking after books and equipment.
Working With Others
Sharing ideas and cooperating in group work.
Being kind, patient and fair.
Reflecting and Improving
Learning from mistakes without giving up.
Celebrating their own and others’ achievements.
Be Respectful
Listening Carefully
Looking at the teacher or friend when they are speaking.
Not interrupting or talking over others.
Using Kind Words
Speaking politely to teachers and classmates.
Encouraging others instead of putting them down.
Valuing Everyone’s Ideas
Respecting that people might think differently.
Joining in discussions without laughing at mistakes.
Caring for the Learning Environment
Looking after books, equipment and displays.
Keeping the classroom tidy for everyone.

Following classroom and playground rules so everyone stays safe.
Using equipment (scissors, PE equipment, computers, etc.) properly.
Telling an adult if something feels unsafe or worrying.

Using gentle hands and kind words.
Making sure everyone has a chance to join in learning and games.
Making Good Choices
Walking indoors instead of running.
Listening carefully to instructions.
Thinking before acting so no one gets hurt.

Knowing it’s okay to make mistakes.

Trusting adults in school to listen and support.
