Yellow Bubble Celebration Videos Week 3

Date: 10th Jul 2020 @ 9:32am

Welcome to our weekly celebration blog. It’s been another busy week completing challenges and enjoying sharing our learning with each other in Yellow Bubble. Here are some videos of what we have been up to this week. Links to the videos are at the bottom if you want to watch them.

Day 1 Aaargh Spider

Today we practiced our maths skills and then Mrs Ganner set us some challenges. First of all we had to create a minibeast from a toilet roll! Then we had to use the indoor and outdoor construction to create places from the spider story of the day.

Day 2 Spinderella

After some free play practicing counting and labelling sets we watched our next spider story of the day. In Spinderella her spider brothers and sisters got sore feet from playing football without boots on. Spinderella’s Hairy Godmother gave them all football boots so we drew boots onto our spiders too. Can you work out the link between the story and a traditional tale?

Day 3 Spyder

Spyder had to save the day by stopping the nasty bluebottle fly eating the birthday cake. He used one of his talents to do this. The children constructed their very own Spyder with silk attached to his spinnerets so he could complete his mission. Then Spyder hid around the play area looking for a new mission

Day 4 Silk the Spider Meets Sam the Caterpillar

Did you know that when a caterpillar is in its’ cocoon they are vulnerable because they can’t escape the birds trying to eat them? In this story Silk saved Sam from the birds by creating a web. Do you think our webs will save Sam?
