Reading Plus WINNERS (Week 15)
Date: 17th Jul 2020 @ 5:04pm
Good afternoon everyone! How has your Friday been?
I can't believe we've reached our final day of reading challenges! You have all worked so well, well done everyone.
Here are our winners:
Most Lessons Completed: Ganesa (with 10 lessons! Well done).
Most Words Read: Alissia (with 13,113 words! Well done).
This week's challenge was to read 5 books, and share a new word you have learnt. The winners are:
Ganesa (with her new words: conscience, nuisance and puncture)
Victoria (with her new phrase 'rapid eye movement' (REM), she then shared that we have different stages of sleep - light sleep, deep sleep and REM).
Well done you two!
A huge well done to everyone that managed to access reading plus this week:
Well done to Ganesa and Victoria for completing today's 'famous person challenge.' The answer was: William Shakespeare, who was born in April 1564. They shared that he is a famous English playwright, poet and actor. They also shared that he was regarded as the greatest writer in the English language, and that he was the world's greatest dramatist!
You have all worked so incredibly hard this year! We are so proud of the progress you have made, and your determination.
Don't forget to ask your grown up to check their email, where they will find a 'transition booklet' from Year 6. It has some Summer activities in that you can do.
Enjoy the break, and we look forward to seeing you all in September.
Miss Brookes and Mrs Hodges.
