Article 3: All adults should do what's best for children.
We think it's important that everyone remembers, and learns about, Article 3. Article 3 states: When adults make decisions, they should think about how their decisions will affect children. All adults should do what is best for children.
This is something that is done frequently at Ravensbury, without us even realising it!
We asked our peers the question "Who makes decisions that affect you?" and they answered:
- Parents/Carers
- Teachers
- Doctors
- Government
- Prime Minister
- Family Members
- Friends
But the truth is, everyone makes decisions that affect us - including ourselves!
One of the ways we keep ourselves safe at Ravensbury, is thinking about the adults we trust. You can do this by having a 'Trusted 5.' That means you hold up five fingers, and think of an adult you can go to if you or worried, upset or just need a chat - one adult for each finger.
Adults are duty bearers, that means they have a job in ensuring our rights are met. In our class charters, we talk about what the adults do in order to help us have all of our rights. You can see all of the class charters on everyones class pages, or on the doors to their classrooms.
