Nursery 2023 - 2024

Welcome to Nursery

Thank you for visiting our Nursery page. We update our BLOG every week with photos and comments about our learning. We'd be so happy if you shared in our learning journey.

We have two classes that work together across the Nursery Unit.

We have fun, we learn and we love to explore the world around us. We learn through a play based curriculum, that is both challenging and exciting.

The School Day

The school gate opens at 8.40am.  Please make sure you arrive on time to ensure your child is not missing out on valuable learning. We have lunch at 11:25am.Your child can bring a packed lunch or have a school dinner (to be paid for at the school office) which is eaten in the hall. The Nursery school day ends at 3.20pm. Please be prompt, as your children will be very excited to see you and tell you all about their day.

Home Learning

From time to time we will send tasks home for you to collect resources, or find out about something we are learning about in class. We will send a note home so you know what we need you to do to help. For example, we might need your child to bring in a favourite book or collect some objects from the park.

Clothes

At Nursery children love messy play! This means that your child may need to change into dry or clean clothes during the school day. Please can you make sure your child has a spare set of uniform in a labelled bag. As the weather in Manchester is renowned for being very wet, please ensure your child has a pair of named wellies in school and a waterproof coat with a hood. This means we can still enjoy playing outside even when it’s raining!

If you have any questions please ask a member of the Nursery team who will be happy to help. We're here to support you and your child.

Have a look at our BLOG to see what we have been learning this half term...
