Year 6 Pupils return to school

We would like to welcome our year 6 pupils back to school on Monday 8th June.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Return to school arrangements: For Y6 pupils only

We would like to welcome our year 6 pupils back to school. I know that many of you have found the decision whether to send you child back to school difficult, we respect each of your decisions and know that whatever decision you have made is the right one for your child. For those of you who have confirmed that your child will be attending, here are the necessary arrangements that will make it possible.

Year 6 will return on Monday 8th June.

School will start at 8.50am and finish at 3.30pm. Please note the start and end times for your child to arrive and be picked up. We must stress that these times need to be stuck to in order that we have as few people around the school gates at the start and end of the day

School will be 4 days per week – from Monday to Thursday. We will be closed on a Friday for deep cleaning and to allow teachers to prepare for the following week.

In order to keep all the children in small ‘bubbles’ we have had to split them into 3 classes. This will mean that they won’t necessarily be with their year 6 class teacher or in their classroom. Miss Thornton, Miss Kenwell and Mr Leverton will each be responsible for one of the bubbles.

Children should be dropped off and picked up at the gate on Stockholm Street. They should wait on the markings on the pavement which are there for everyone’s safety.

These arrangements will be reviewed on the 22nd June. If more children request to come back into school than can be accommodated in the existing bubbles, we will look at how provision will need to change to be able to safely accommodate more children. This could result in a possible change of number of days the children will be able to be in school.

We are looking forward to having your child back in school and will keep in touch over the next few weeks as we try and get back to some sort of ‘normality’.
