Year 6CC 2018 - 2019
Welcome to 6CC! There are plenty of exciting things in store over the course of this year, with educational visits, our residential trip to Ghyll Head, plays, assemblies, special events and themed days, visitors and challenges! Please read our class blog to keep updated with all our important news, to see what we have been up to and of course to admire our amazing work. Important information: Year 6 is such an important year for your child. Here’s how you can help at home. Please make sure that your child is reading for at least 20 minutes per night and that their Reading Record is signed and returned to school each morning. Homework will be handed out every Thursday and needs to be returned by Monday. In addition, your child will be given spellings to learn each week for a spelling test every Friday. They need to practise these regularly. Book bags and PE Kit should be in school every day. Due to the winter weather and then SATs preparation, PE lessons can be moved around, so bring your PE kit on Monday and take it home on Friday for a wash.
"I loved the challenge of Ghyll Head. Sometimes I felt scared, but with every step I grew braver!" Ryan
"I love learning about World War II. I have my own World War II name and I couldn't believe how many children were hurt when we went to the Imperial War Museum." Almathna
Welcome to Year 6CC!
She enjoys teaching maths because every day is different and how to write stories because she loves language and crafting an image with vocabulary. She loves Ghyll Head and takes home as many memories as the children!
In her spare time she likes visiting other countries, spending time with friends and listening to music.
Also in our classroom we have Miss O’Hanlon and Mrs Frangilo (1 to 1 support)
