Date: 10th Jul 2020 @ 8:49am

Good Morning Everyone,

It's Friday and a little bit wet. I've just been out for my run and really pleased that I am now able to run for 25mins without stopping and just done over 5km!! I'm quite shocked at my progress!! Just one more run to go this week.

Your sentence of the day and fluent in 5 is ready on Padlet. Also choose your final Friday Challenge of the year, as next week is the last Friday before the summer holidays and we will be doing something slightly differently. Here is the link to Padlet:

Good Morning Everyone,

What a grey start to the day it is!! I think it's going to stay wet but hopefully the sun will shine by the weekend.

I hope you've managed to watch the Pink and Purple Bubble videos on the class blog pages. The children in school are working really hard and doing some very creative things in an unusual Reception class environment.

Purple Bubble 8th July

Date: 8th Jul 2020 @ 7:51pm

What a busy few days the Purple Bubble have had in school!!! This morning we discovered something lurking in our school playground. We went to explore and found Roy the T-Rex hiding amongst the trees!!! We used some great adjectives to describe him and then went back into class and wrote some super sentences. He was even waiting at home time to say goodbye to us!

We continued with our Pirate topic in class and made some amazing treasure islands and thought about what three things we would take with us on an island. We also made some wonderful bottle aquariums using glitter, sand, water and blue food colouring. We decorated the inside with some pebbles and blue cellophane paper and the outside with some fish pictures.

Watch the video below to see our GREAT learning...

Wednesday 8th July *Pink Bubble*

Date: 8th Jul 2020 @ 3:18pm

This morning, Pink Bubble thought about the question 'Why do pirates wear eye-patches?' Children thought carefully and wrote down lots of different sentences to show their ideas. Before dinner, we went on a walk around the playground and bumped into a dinosaur called Roy!!! Luckily he was very friendly! This afternoon we made Ocean Sensory Bottles filled with sand, glitter, leaves and water! They looked just like the ocean floor!!

Wednesday 8th July

Date: 8th Jul 2020 @ 6:56am

Good Morning Everyone,

What a dull and gloomy morning it is! Let's hope it brightens up later. I can't believe it is the middle of the week again!

Today if you haven't tried already, why not log on to the Numbots website and work your way through the games and activities linked to number and addition. You start on 'rust' and work your way through to the 'diamond' stage. In each stage you play levels of games to earn stars and coins. The more stars and coins you earn will allow you to move on to the next stage. If you haven't got your child's Numbot login details please email us and we will send these out to you.

Yellow Bubble Week 2 Celebration Videos

Date: 3rd Jul 2020 @ 3:28pm

This week we have done so many activities that we had to make one video for each day! The children are really finding their groove and they are full of smiles all day long. I asked if I could just use a few of the photos to make one video and the children were very firm with their answer, ‘NO!’ haha. They wanted to share all of them with you.

What a privilege it is to work with the children in yellow bubble. Thank you for a lovely week everyone. I’ll see you again on Monday for a creepy crawly ‘aargh spider’ kind of week.
