It was lovely to see so many of you at Parent's Evening this week. It is always great to hear how much you enjoyed looking through your child's work and how proud you are of them.

Don't worry if you didn't get chance to attend, speak to your child's teacher and they will arrange an appointment for you to see them.

I look forward to seeing you all next week at our Christamas celebrations.

Stick lady comes to visit year one

Date: 4th Dec 2019 @ 1:40pm

Yesterday we received a letter from stick lady love, we weren't expecting it and it was a big shock !

Stick lady love is very miserable, she has lost her stick man and does not know where he is. He went into the forest and still hasn't returned. Without him she is so upset and blue and her children are missing their dad.

Today we asked stick lady love lots of questions so that we could find out a bit more about stick man and help her find him. Stick lady helped us to make character profiles so that we can help to find him and so that the family can be happy again !

Perfect partitioning !

Date: 4th Dec 2019 @ 1:27pm

Stick lady has lost her husband ! We have founds lots of sticks but none of them are her stick husband... This week we have been counting to the number 20 to find out how many sticks we have. We have been partitioning the numbers into tens and ones. We know that tens are in the left and ones are on the right.

As you can see one of the Beebots didn't like to listen and decided to have a nosey at the what was happening in the classroom instead.

Wash Wash Wash your hands!

Date: 1st Dec 2019 @ 10:00pm

The Nurse came into school this week and showed the children how to wash their hands and talked about why they needed to wash their hands too! She gave the children handwashing posters to use in school to help them remember how to wash their hands correctly and taught them a song to sing too!

Handwashing song (Tune of row row row your boat)

Wash, wash, wash your hands, wash nasty germs away,

If you don’t you might get ill and that would spoil your day.
