We have 5 senses!

Date: 7th Oct 2021 @ 11:27am

Hello everyone!

What a week... The children have been working very hard this week and have begun to explore their 5 senses. We learnt about the 5 senses and the body parts we use for each. We even learnt a new song! If you would like to have a listen here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xQgjryKO08

Once the children knew what the 5 senses were they had a go experimenting with the sense of touch and smell. Ask the children what things they felt and smelt!

In maths, we have explored the number bonds for 5 and 10. Children have used a part - whole model to represent the number bonds to 5 and also explored ways to show bonds to 10 on a tens frame. They have then applied these skills to their challenges!

In english we were visited by Supertato! We have spent some time drawing what we think an evil villan looks like and labelling them using adjectives. We have also ordered events from the story using a giant story map and our teamwork skills.

I am really pleased with the effort the children are showing whilst working! Keep it up everyone, two more weeks until you can have a well-earned break!
