Hello Year One!

I hope you've been having a lovley time at home, I've been missing seeing you everyday but it has been lovely seeing your pictures being sent in! Can you believe that the Easter holidays are just around the corner? I've bought some lovely Easter eggs so I can enjoy my own Easter Egg hunt inside my house :)

Phonics

Todays phonics focuses on those tricky words again. Here's a game you can play on your ipads/tablets/phones/laptops so that you can practice reading those tricky words.

In your packs you have a booklet which includes activities with phase 4 tricky words in. Just like the other days have fun and play some different games, can you write the words in funky writing or paint a picture including the words?

Reading

Todays reading focuses on those tricky words that you have just practiced! Here is a video so you can have a dance and remember those tricky words...

In your packs there is a tricky word spotter story. The children need to read the story and find all of the tricky words. Alternativley you could read another story and see how many of the tricky words you can find in that or test your family, can you write a story and challenge them to find the tricky words in it!
