Monday 8th June Reading

Date: 8th Jun 2020 @ 8:30am

Good Morning Reception,

Here are the answer’s to last Thursday’s Sentence of the Day…

I need a shower because I fell in the mud.

Today’s sentence of the day is…

Mi dad gave me sum coyns so I went two the shop.

Last week we read the story ’10 Little Pirates.’ Today I want you to start by playing 'one word' with someone in your house. How many things can you think of about pirates? How many pirate words can you think of in 1 minute...? Use the word mat below to help you.

Activity 1 - Today I want you to practise your reading skills. I want you to read the sentences about pirates and see if you can draw a matching picture.

Activity 2 - Your next challenge is to read the mixed-up sentence and put it back together again so that it makes sense. Then I want you to write the focus word, draw a picture about the sentence and then practise writing the sentence.

Extra challenge – can you make up another muddled-up sentence about pirates and write it on scraps of paper. Give it to someone in your house to put the words in the right order so that they make sense. Good Luck!
