CC Launch

Date: 16th Jan 2020 @ 10:15am

Our new question for this half term is, "Why is Dina Asher-Smith famous?"

This might seem like a strange question to be asking, but it opens the door into considering sport - the Olympics in particular - and why this competition exists. We'll discover that it goes all the way back to the time of the Ancient Greeks, although it was very different back then to how it happens today!

To launch our new area of learning, we watched "Team GB Golden Moments" from the London 2012 Olympics (anyone remember "Super Saturday"?!), thinking about what we could see and how it made us feel watching it. We felt proud, emotional, inspired and amazed. Look it up on YouTube - do you feel the same as we did as you watch it?

We can't wait to explore the Ancient Greeks more, and have so many exciting opportunities for the children planned!

‘We create, We explore,

We care, We soar’
