Parents were invited to come and watch the children celebrate. The children brought in donations of tins and dried foods and these have been donated to St. Cross church who provide a food bank service and Barnabus Manchester city centre who support homeless people. Thank you for all the generous dontations!

The challenge is part of the read Manchester campaign. Read Manchester promotes reading for enjoyment through a year-long programme of activities and aims to raise literacy levels in the city.

Reception and Y1 were first and had a go at all different activities – Mrs Hughes even joined in! Next up were years 2 and 3 who also had a great morning of activities!

Unfortunately the years 4, 5 and 6 sports afternoon had to be cancelled due to the rain starting but it will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
